I’ve been watching and reading a lot of content from Xiaohongshu, and one brand that caught my eye was SOME BY MI.
A lot of users were praising their AHA-BHA-PHA 30Days Miracle Toner, but as I researched more about the brand, I was intrigued by their new Snail Truecica line, which key ingredient was actually snail mucin!
I am a huge fan of snail mucin ever since I tried MISSHA’s Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Cream, and happened to be looking for a good replacement after I emptied the former, so I bought SOME BY MI Snail Truecica Miracle Repair Serum to see if it can help with my monthly hormonal acne breakout.

I’m pleased to see that snail mucin ranks pretty high in this list, although I am also surprised that the list is so long! There are so many amazing ingredients in this, including niacinamide, green tea, bergamot oil, tea tree leaf extract, as well as madecassic acid – I’m surprised that the brand didn’t charge more for this concoction!
Review
For reference, this is how my face looked like before and after using the SOME BY MI Snail Truecica Miracle Repair Serum for about 2-3 weeks. You can see the hormonal acne has definitely cleared up and my blemishes have also lightened as well.
However, I must state that I did not see a marked improvement in fungal acne after using this. I’m not sure if it should clear up that kind of acne, but just a heads-up not to expect miracles to occur to your fungal acne with this serum.
Final Verdict
I know using snail mucin can be pretty scary for those who have never tried it before, but this is a great product to try out if you don’t want to buy something too pricey.
This serum has been a wonderful remedy for my hormonal acne and I really wish I found this earlier so I wouldn’t have to struggle for so long with those ugly red bumps every month. In comparison to a lot of other acne products containing tea tree oil and salicylic acid which didn’t work for me at all, I’d say that the Snail Truecica Miracle Repair Serum from SOME BY MI is a much better investment.
I know it hasn’t been hyped up as much as the 30Days Miracle line, but this serum seriously produces miracles that you have to try out for yourself.
